Maple Town runs an AI help agent for its residents. This demo adds Proactive Chats to it: after an answer, the agent shows the next steps people usually need, each with a reason, and tracks a deadline only if the resident taps Remind me.
Next steps come only from lists the agency writes. Edit a list here, then ask about that service in the Resident view. Changes show right away.
Proactive Chats adds one thing to a government AI agent: after an answer, offer the next step, and track it only if the resident agrees.
Ask
The resident asks a question. The agent answers as it does today.
See next steps
Every next step from the agency's list, in order, each with a reason.
Opt in
Remind me shows the channel and schedule before anything is tracked.
Remind and close
One reminder before the deadline, with Done, Snooze and Stop. The list tracks what's left.
Rules it follows
- Steps come only from the agency's list. The agent never makes one up.
- Every step shows why it's suggested, and the whole list stays visible.
- No reminder without a tap. Stop ends all reminders.
- One reminder per step. Same-day reminders arrive as one message.
- Agencies can switch suggestions off for sensitive services.
Left out of this prototype
- Real messages, logins and saved data. Everything resets on reload.
- The agency's own systems confirming a step is done.
- Other languages, and steps that belong to other agencies.
- Phone and in-person service.
- Time passing. "Skip to reminder day" stands in for it.
